Boy Carrying Stick Hurt When It Touches Power Line

SEVERNA PARK, Md. (AP) — Fire officials say a 10-year-old boy was seriously injured when a stick he was carrying came into contact with a power line in Severna Park.

Authorities say the boy was walking on of Randell Road about 12:30 p.m. Monday carrying a bamboo pole. The pole touched a power line.

The Capital of Annapolis reports that the boy was taken to Johns Hopkins Children’s Hospital in Baltimore with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
