SILVER SPRING, Md. (AP) — Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown will be speaking at an event honoring World War II veterans.

The ceremony is set for Wednesday in Silver Spring.

The event is being hosted by Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett and the Montgomery County Council.

Former Nightline anchor Ted Koppel will serve as the master of ceremonies.

Veterans who served in some of the war’s most famous battles will attend, including the D-Day invasion of Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge.
