Man Enters Alford Plea In Wife's Death

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- A 57-year-old man has entered an Alford plea to first-degree murder in the stabbing death of his wife in their Pasadena home.

Stephen Richard Salb entered the plea Tuesday, in which he maintains his innocence while admitting prosecutors have enough evidence to convict him.

The Capital of Annapolis reports that prosecutors will seek a life sentence Nov. 8.

Police say they were called July 13, 2011 to the Salb home, where they found Jill Teets-Salb, 38, suffering from stab wounds to the upper body. She was pronounced dead at a hospital.
