TAKOMA PARK, Md. (AP) — Authorities say a bank customer was robbed and shot outside a Takoma Park bank.
Takoma Park police say the customer was leaving the bank in the 1100-block of University Boulevard about 7 p.m. Monday when he confronted by the robber. The victim was shot and taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
It was not clear how much money was taken.
Police say the assailant was described as having a medium to dark complexion and weighing 170 to 190 pounds.
Authorities say he was wearing a black hat and jacket, black or gray shoes and gray pants.
