Maryland Prostitution Sting Yields 23 Arrests

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Federal immigration officials say 23 people were arrested for soliciting prostitution in Howard, Anne Arundel and Prince George's counties.

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency says the arrests were part of a probe by its Homeland Security Investigations division into criminal organizations involved in prostitution. The federal agency says Maryland State Police and officers from Howard and Anne Arundel counties and the Laurel police department also took part in the arrests.

ICE says 14 men were arrested by Howard County officers, seven by Anne Arundel County officers and two by Laurel police.
