FEDERALSBURG, Md. (AP) — Maryland State Police say they are investigating the death of a man found in Federalsburg with an apparent gunshot wound.

State police say Anthony C. Abner Jr., 21, was found by Federalsburg police officers lying on the pavement in front of a business shortly before midnight Tuesday. Abner apparently sustained at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

State police say no arrests have been made and they are seeking information from the public about the death.

Abner is believed to have moved to the area less than a month ago from Seaford, Del., and investigators do not have a motive.
