This current pattern does look as if it will be rather “unsettled” for the next few days. Even though there will be times when it’s cloudy and there isn’t much rain happening in the mid-Atlantic region, there will be other times when it’s wetter.
We think the showers and thunderstorms in Wednesday night’s forecast, as well as those Thursday, should be “widely separated.” A cold front is expected to reach the East Coast Wednesday night, but it isn’t going to move too late Wednesday night or Thursday. Hence, there won’t be much of a trigger to cause multiple showers or widespread rain.
