Driver Pleads Guilty In Fatal Ellicott City Car Crash

ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (AP) -- A 19-year-old man has pleaded guilty to two counts of criminally negligent manslaughter for a car crash that killed two of his friends.

Dale Audet of Linthicum entered the plea on Monday in Howard County Circuit Court. The Capital of Annapolis reports that he will be sentenced on Dec. 19.

Prosecutors say Audet was driving his car on Nov. 25 when it crashed into a tree in Howard County. His two passengers, 19-year-old Jeffrey Giles of Linthicum and 18-year-old Jonathon Deckman of Severn, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Audet was critically injured in the crash.
