WEATHER BLOG: Rain, T-Storms Linger Until Wednesday; Warm Temps To Follow
This blog will be about weather and not sports. I just wanted to write that! Fortunately, the rain held off down at the Yard earlier before arriving Sunday evening. The front responsible for the rain is moving away overnight. It will take the rain with it, while some fog will linger.
Monday will feature a break between storms. Sunshine will mix with clouds and highs will be close to the average of 72 degrees. Then, clouds will take over Monday night with rain arriving. Rain and even a few thunderstorms will continue on and off through early Wednesday before getting out of here. This storm will also bring warmer air with it. Highs will creep back to the mid/upper 70s Tuesday before jumping to the 80s Wednesday. Even when the storm gets out of here for Thursday and Friday, it will remain warm with highs near 80 degrees.
A new cold front will come charging across the Midwest late in the week, arriving here Saturday. It will be a much stronger front upstream, but could still have some showers or a thunderstorm with it when it arrives here. The bigger thing with this front is the cooler air it will bring. The above average temperatures will swing back below average over the weekend.
