WEATHER BLOG: Temps Stay In The 80s Next 2 Days, Then Start To Drop

We are still dealing with the storm that rolled in Monday night. The center, carrying most of the moisture, has moved off to the north. However, a trailing front will hang over the I-95 corridor through Thursday. That will keep the chance for a shower or thunderstorm around Wednesday and again Thursday.

The other thing this storm is doing, is drawing warm air up from the south. Temperatures actually rose through the 70s overnight, making it to the 80s Wednesday. We will top out near 80 degrees the next two afternoons before a big time cold front comes our way over the weekend. We are going from way above to way below average. The front will come swinging through Saturday, capping temperatures in the 70s before they start dropping. On Sunday, we will probably not get out of the 50s! So from the 80s to 50s in two days.

There is the chance for a few showers or a thunderstorm with the front on Saturday, but even though this front is strong, it will not have a lot of moisture with it when it moves through. When the cold air comes rushing in behind it, that's when we will see the rain break out. There is the chance for rain Sunday continuing into Monday. Regardless of baseball outcomes, good thing the O's will not be playing at home Sunday.
