BALTIMORE (WJZ)– The Baltimore Police Department has arrested a man and confiscated 16 weapons from his residence. Police say he had been previously convicted of armed robbery.

Police say they received a call about an armed person in the 1200-block of Carroll Street and a witness told them that Wayne Petty had pointed a gun at him. Police found several weapons in Petty’s residence. On investigation, they found out that Petty was prohibited from possessing firearms because of the armed robbery conviction.

Petty now faces first- and second-degree assault, firearm use in a felony-violent crime, firearm possession with a felony conviction, rifle/shotgun possession and long barrel shot gun possession charges.
