13 Bottle Bombs Found In Church Parking Lot

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Authorities say 13 soda bottle bombs were found in the parking lot of a Hagerstown church.

The Maryland Fire Marshal's Office says a neighbor of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints noticed 10 detonated devices on Saturday.

Fire Marshal's Office spokesman Bruce Bouch tells The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown that three of the devices were determined to be safe, and the remains of all were collected for evaluation.

Bouch says children can find out how to make the bombs from the Internet, and they do not realize that the devices are illegal and dangerous.

He says it does not appear there was any malicious intent.
