SEVERN, Md. (AP) — Anne Arundel County police say a man who chased two youths who stole his Kindle and shot at him was hit by a car as the robbers drove off.
It happened Sunday in Severn. Police say the man was reading his Kindle when two teenagers walked up behind him.
One youth pushed the man to the ground and grabbed the Kindle. The second youth pulled out a gun when the man tried to grab his device back, and fired a shot into the ground.
Officers tell the Capital of Annapolis that the two youths ran to a car occupied by a third man. The victim ran to the vehicle and tried to grab his Kindle before the three drove off, hitting his legs.
The man was treated for minor injuries.
