Donor To Match Up To $10K In Gifts To Md. Groups

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- An anonymous donor is offering to match up to $10,000 in donations to three struggling nonprofit groups in Washington County for the third year in a row.

The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown reports the three organizations are the Community Free Clinic of Washington County; REACH Caregivers, whose programs include a cold weather shelter for the homeless; and Holly Place, a nonprofit assisted-living facility for low-income seniors.

Officials with the organizations say the donor plans to match donations made from Oct. 15 to Dec. 15 to each of the three groups.

All three groups managed to raise more than $10,000 during the past two challenges.
