EASTON, Md. (AP) — Easton Police say catalytic converters and air filters worth nearly $50,000 were stolen from trucks at a car dealership.

The thefts from 10 diesel truck occurred over the weekend at Fred Frederick Chrysler. Employees discovered the thefts Monday morning when they noticed loose wires hanging from the trucks.

Catalytic converters contain precious metals, including platinum. Thieves can sell the scrap metal for $100 to $200 per part.
