Annapolis Officials Pick Designer For Water Plant
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Annapolis officials have selected a Massachusetts company to design a $35 million water treatment plant to replace an 83-year-old facility.
Officials have negotiated a deal with CDM Smith Haskell, whose proposal was chosen from among 13 submitted. The Annapolis City Council must approve the arrangement.
The current plant is on the brink of failure. The new plant will be constructed next to the old one.
The Capital of Annapolis reports that it will take six months for the design, with construction beginning in the spring.
