UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) — Fire officials say a serial arsonist set nine vehicles on fire in a 24-hour period in the Upper Marlboro area of Prince George’s County.

Prince George’s County fire department spokesman tells The Washington Post that four fires were set early Wednesday and five were spotted early Thursday. All the vehicles were parked on the street in front of their owners’ homes. Some were destroyed.

There were no injuries.
