BALTIMORE (WJZ)— A 2-year-old boy found by himself in Northeast Baltimore has been reunited with his parent.

Baltimore City police found the boy in good health Thursday at 4300 Bel Air Road and Sheldon Avenue.

Officers searched the area, spoke to pedestrians and knocked on doors in an attempt to find the child’s parent.  No information was obtained at the time.

The primary officer also contacted the Missing Persons Unit to determine if the child had been reported missing. He had not.

The boy was left in the custody of Child Protective Services, where the parent later located him.
