Tractor-Trailer Overturns Onto Truck; 2 Dead
LIBERTYTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say two people were killed and three people were hurt when a tractor-trailer overturned onto a pickup truck on Route 75 in Frederick County.
It happened about 2 p.m. Monday in Libertytown. Troopers say a tractor-trailer was traveling north on Route 75 when it rounded a sharp curve and overturned into a pickup truck traveling south.
Two people in the pickup truck were pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the truck and the driver and a passenger in the tractor-trailer were taken to area hospitals.
The accident is under investigation.
