WEATHER BLOG: Chilly

Well, the cold front obviously went through.

After hitting 69 degrees, we did actually top out in the low 60s Tuesday - but that was at midnight. Temperatures have fallen drastically since then and will hold in the 40s Tuesday afternoon. The colder air will moderate, but is going to stick around for the rest of the week.

As for the front, it will keep on trekking to the east. Clouds will mix with sunshine in the afternoon and the clearing will continue overnight. Other than patchy clouds Wednesday, we will see a lot more sunshine. But the front moving away will stall over the Southeast. A new low pressure system will attach to that front and eventually drag it back off to the north. If this newly formed storm tracks closer to the coast, we could see some showers from it Friday and Saturday with more clouds. If it stays out over the water, we will just get some clouds from it. That's something we will continue to watch for you. Then, another storm could move during the middle of next week.
