Towson Beats Cincinnati Christian 79-40

RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) -- Mike Burwell scored 18 points, leading four Towson University players in double figures, and the Tigers never trailed in beating Cincinnati Christian 79-40 on Monday.

The game was Towson's final game in the Comfort Suites Invitational at Eastern Kentucky. The Tigers went 3-1 in the tournament and are 3-2 this season.

Marcus Damas scored 12 points for Towson, while Kris Walden and Bilal Dixon scored 10 apiece. Dixon also had a game-high 11 rebounds as the Tigers owned a 46-22 advantage on the boards.

Towson led 39-19 at the half and by as many as 42 in the final minutes.

DJ McCommons had nine points to lead the Eagles (1-4). Cincinnati Christian plays in NAIA.
