HOWARD COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) — Two MDTA police officers are in the hospital after being hit by a car along the side of I-95 in Howard County.

It happened Wednesday night near the exit for Route 100 West.

Police say the officers pulled over a stolen vehicle and while they were outside their patrol cars a man driving a pick-up truck crashed into their patrol cars, which then hit the officers.

Police say the driver of the truck was drunk.

Both officers are expected to recover.
