BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Baltimore police were called to Sinai Hospital on Nov. 20 to investigate a case of possible child abuse.

Police officials say the 2-week-old baby girl was severely beaten and had burns to her genitals. Her ribs were broken and there were bruises all over her body.

Police have arrested the girl’s father, Andre Littlejohn, on assault and child abuse charges. Police say they used forensics and information from family members to identify Littlejohn as the suspect.

Police say the abuse originally happened in the 4500-block of Westchester Road.
