WEATHER BLOG: Storm Has Come & Gone

The storm has come and gone. The accumulating snow was confined to Pa. and western Maryland, while some snow briefly mixed with rain all the way down to Baltimore County. From the city south, it was a cold rain. All of that is moving out to sea, with just a few showers lingering over the Eastern Shore Tuesday evening.

Dry, cool air is going to follow starting Tuesday night. Temperatures are going to drop below freezing for many places around the city and the rest of the state to the north and west. Be careful if headed out late Tuesday/early Wednesday morning since there could be some icy spots on the roads that haven't fully dried out. However, sunshine will help to warm us up to the mid 40s Wednesday afternoon. Yes, that's still below average but way above freezing.

Dry air will dominate the rest of the week, with temperatures slowly moderating. We will be back in the 50s by this weekend. There will be some more clouds over the weekend with the slight chance for a shower Sunday. We know there's a big football game going on this Sunday, so we will keep you updated on this forecast. It is just a small chance but it will be warmer.
