UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) — Authorities in Prince George’s County say they’re investigating after discovering a body while putting out a fire at an apparently abandoned home in Upper Marlboro.
A fire department spokesman says authorities were called to the 15000-block of Buck Lane around 2:15 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a fire.
It took firefighters about 45 minutes to knock down most of the blaze.
Firefighters going through the building then discovered a body which was unidentifiable.
An autopsy is planned to determine the person’s identity and cause of death.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
