Suh was hit with a $30,000 fine for his Thanksgiving Day groin kick on Matt Schaub. The NFL said they couldn’t determine that it was intentional so he was not suspended, and they levied a fine upon him instead.
Make a freaking decision please, if you think it was an accident then why fine him at all? If you think he’s continuing his bad conduct on the field then hammer him. This wimpy half decision seems seems either a total avoidance of the problem that Suh represents or it is a grossly unfair grab of his money. Either way it sucks. I think the league is making a mockery of the whole player safety issue. On one hand you penalize and suspend players for hits that while brutal seem perfectly legal so you can say that you’re concerned for their safety and on the other you push for an eighteen game season and now have Thursday night football every week ensuring little rest for every team in the league .
I’m good either way just stop waffling and make a damn decision and stick to your convictions.
