River Hill Beats Huntingtown 18-14 in Md. State Class 3A Championship

BALTIMORE (AP) -- River Hill got two rushing touchdowns from senior running back Justin Arn in the second half to defeat Huntingtown 18-14 on Thursday night at Ravens Stadium for its second straight Maryland Class 3A State championship.

River Hill (14-0) has won four titles overall. Huntingtown, which lost to Linganore in the 2009 3A state title game, has never won the crown.

Claiming their first lead in the fourth quarter, the Hawks marched 86 yards in eight plays with Arn scoring on a 20-yard run with 8:13 remaining. With Huntingtown (12-2) seeking to regain the lead, Arn intercepted Zach Piazza's pass at the Hawks' 12-yard line.

River Hill went 64 yards on nine plays on its first possession of the second half to close to 14-12 while being denied on the two-point conversion for the second time.

Stephan Osong opened the Hawks' scoring with a first-half TD.
