WESTMINSTER, Md. (WJZ) –  A Carroll County man dies after being struck by a car in Westminster.

Police say the man was hit Friday in the 900-block of Chapel Road.

The 45-year-old was taken to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

So far, no charges have been filed against the 21-year-old driver who police say struck the man.

Police do not think alcohol was a factor in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
