Judge Deciding On Holding Teens In Metro Stabbing
WASHINGTON (AP) -- A judge in Washington is deciding whether to hold four teens charged in connection with a fatal stabbing at a Metro station.
The hearing was scheduled to continue Tuesday in D.C. Superior Court before Judge Ronna L. Beck. The judge is deciding whether the teens should be released while awaiting trial.
A police detective, meanwhile, testified Monday that investigators are seeking at least three more people. The detective said the three can be seen in security camera videos.
Nine suspects were arrested following the Nov. 17 death of Olijawon Griffin, 18, of Olney. Police say Griffin was robbed of an iPhone and jacket while trying to buy marijuana and later confronted the teens at the Metro station.
Chavez Myers, 17, has been charged as an adult with second-degree murder.
