DERWOOD, Md. (AP) — Maryland State Police say a missing Frederick man’s body has been found in the trunk of his car.

Police say the body of John P. Ryan, 37, was found Monday afternoon in the trunk of the car, which was parked in a Montgomery County lot. Authorities say Ryan appeared to have suffered trauma, and cash and suspected marijuana were also found in the trunk. The car was found in a parking lot used by multiple businesses in the 15000-block of Somerville Drive in Derwood.

State Police say the businessman who worked in property maintenance was reported missing Nov. 29 by his wife, who said she had last seen him on Nov. 27.  State Police say no arrests have been made and investigators have not determined a motive.
