Man Rescued After Car Lands Upside Down Near Atkisson Reservoir

JOPPA, Md. (WJZ)—A man has been rescued after his car went over an embankment and almost into a nearby reservoir.

Captain Jeff Long has more.

The collision happened just before noon Wednesday when a driver drove off an embankment and almost into Atkisson Reservoir in Harford County.

Sky Eye Chopper 13 was over the scene at Winters Run Road, just south of Singer Road in the Joppa area as a Maryland State Police Medevac helicopter extricated the victim.

Police say the man is in his 20s and is in serious condition.

He has been taken to Shock Trauma.

Plenty of rescue workers remain on the scene.
