JACKSONVILLE, Md. (AP) — Baltimore County police have identified a 62-year-old man killed in a home fire in Jacksonville.
Police say William Spencer died in the fire in the 5600-block of Sweet Air Road early Thursday. Baltimore County fire officials say crews from Baltimore County and Harford County had to shuttle water from a nearby source because the area is not served by hydrants.
Two firefighters also suffered minor injuries.
The cause of the fire just after midnight is under investigation.
Police say a second fire in Dundalk also claimed a life.
Police say Ernest Lewis Sr., 87, died at the University of Maryland Medical Center. The cause of that fire in the 100-block Avon Beach Road early Thursday is also under investigation.
