Md. Man Charged In Robberies At Subway Restaurants

ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) — Montgomery County police have charged a man with five robberies of Subway restaurants in a month. Two of the restaurants were robbed twice.

Detectives arrested Timothy Luke Howell, 24, on Friday. He is charged with armed robbery and other offenses.

Police say Howell robbed Subway restaurants in Germantown and Gaithersburg between Nov. 4 and Dec. 5. Officers say in each crime, a man showed a handgun and demanded cash.
