OWINGS MILLS, Md. (WJZ)—  A man is dead after a single-car crash in Owings Mills early Sunday morning.

It happened at 2:40 a.m. in the area of Garrison Forest Road and Nancy Ellen Way.

Police say Christopher Klinefelter, 27, of Reisterstown, was traveling southbound on Garrison Forest Road in a 2006 GMC Sierra. Police say Klinefelter failed to negotiate a curve, causing the vehicle to go off the road on the northbound side into the grassy area. The vehicle then struck a retaining wall, causing the vehicle to go airborne while flipping and back into the roadway.

Klinefelter was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and transported to Northwest Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No one else was involved in the crash.

The crash  is being investigated by the Baltimore County Police Crash Team.
