Laurel High School Student Admitted To Psych Hospital After Threats

LAUREL, Md. (WJZ)— Police say a student with access to weapons threatened to shoot and kill others at Laurel High School.

On Monday, school students felt threatened by a student and issued complaints with their teachers, who notified school security and who then notified Laurel police.

Laurel police confirmed this was a valid threat. Laurel's police chief believes this is a prime example of "see something, say something."

The student was located and admitted to a psychiatric hospital for evaluation.
