Bail Denied For Baltimore Blogger Who Broadcast Police Standoff
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Bail is denied for the blogger who broadcast his standoff with city police.
A judge ruled James MacArthur, the man behind the Baltimore Spectator, still poses a threat to the public.
Officers went to his North Baltimore home on Dec. 1 to serve a warrant related to a gun charge.
Police said MacArthur made threats online that led to an hours-long standoff. They also said they found a shotgun and ammo inside his home.
The blogger is now facing two weapons charges for illegal possession of a firearm and possessing an unregistered shotgun.
