WESTMINISTER, Md. (AP) — A New Year’s Eve fire caused an estimated $500,000 damage to two businesses in Carroll County.

The Office of the State Fire Marshal says firefighters were called to a fire at 1060 Francis Scott Key Highway in Keymar at about 5:50 p.m. Monday. It took approximately 100 firefighters two hours to get the blaze under control.
