Metro: Weekend Work To Affect Red And Orange Lines

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metro says weekend work on the red and orange lines will cause delays for train riders.

On the orange line, buses will replace trains between Vienna and East Falls Church. Metro says it will run both local and express bus service between the two stations, leading to delays of 15 to 30 minutes.

In addition, on the red line, trains will share a single track in two places, between Shady Grove and Twinbrook and between Judiciary Square and Rhode Island Avenue.

Metro says the work will begin Friday night at 10 p.m. and continue through Sunday.
