Man Sentenced For Selling Non-FDA Approved Drugs
GREENBELT, Md. (AP) -- A 33-year-old man has been sentenced to five months in prison for selling misbranded, non-FDA approved prescription drugs.
Luis Alberto Jimenez, formerly of Hyattsville, was also sentenced Thursday to five months of that being home detention with electronic monitoring and ordered to pay a $3,000 fine.
According to his plea agreement, Jimenez bought the drugs from conspirators who had them shipped from other countries. Jimenez, who prosecutors say is not a doctor or a pharmacist, sold medications that had not been approved by the Food and Drug Administration
