New Carousel To Open At Inner Harbor
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A new carousel will open at the Inner Harbor.
Mayor Stephanie-Rawlings Blake announced Thursday that it will be between the Maryland Science Center and Rash Field, the same site where another merry-go-round once stood for three decades.
The city pulled the plug on that carousel when the former owner stopped paying rent.
Charm City Carousel Entertainment, LLC will operate the new carousel, which will have 30 animals and two chariots.
It is expected to open in the spring of 2013.
