Man Recovering After Being Hit By Car In Frederick

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- Officials say a man is recovering after being struck by a car in Frederick.

Officials say they were called to the 400-block of E. Patrick Street on Thursday and found a 30-year-old male lying in the street. The man was flown to a hospital as a precaution, but his injuries were not life threatening.

Officials say the man was struck after he failed to look for oncoming traffic and that he was crossing the roadway outside a crosswalk.

No charges were filed against the driver of the vehicle. Officials did not release the name of the pedestrian who was hit.
