TOWSON, Md. (WJZ) — The Beltway has been shut down in both directions after a tractor trailer accident.

The accident happened near the Dulaney Valley Road exit. The tractor trailer was traveling on the Inner Loop when the accident happened.

According to Baltimore County fire officials, there is diesel fuel and oil on the highway. Hazmat crews are on the scene. Concrete debris from the jersey wall is also in the road.

The State Highway Administration is on its way to the scene to help assist with cleanup.

There’s no word on what caused the crash.

Minor injuries were reported. Two people were taken to area hospitals.
