Weekend Work Planned On Red, Blue And Green Lines

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metro says weekend work will delay passengers traveling on portions of the blue, red and green lines.

Metro says the work will begin at 10 p.m. Friday and continue through Sunday.

On the blue line, Metro says buses will replace trains between Pentagon and Rosslyn.

Customers who plan to use the shuttle bus should allow 20 minutes of additional travel time.

Metro says trains on the red line will share a single track between Friendship Heights and Van Ness and between Rhode Island Avenue and Fort Totten.

Customers traveling through the work zones should add 15 minutes to their travel times.

On the green line, trains will single track between Greenbelt and College Park.

Metro says customers traveling to or from Greenbelt should add 10 minutes to their travel times.
