Federal Hill Serves Up Ravens Burgers To Excited Fans

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The Ravens had their last practice in Owings Mills and in a little less than 24 hours they will be heading to the Mile High City.

Jessica Kartalija has more on her travels with the purple caravan and a burger that is fueling excited Ravens fans.

A restaurant in Federal Hill is serving up a Ravens burger, and it is safe to say they are fueling up Ravens fans for Saturday's game.

At the Abbey Burger Bistro in Federal Hill, the beer is cold and the burgers are hot, especially the Ravens burger.

"Rosetta black angus topped with our smoked pulled pork, lettuce, tomatoes, pepper jack cheese, onion straws and sweet and spicy Maker's Mark barbecue sauce," said Steve Kaye, a bartender at the bistro.

The restaurant is so popular with Ravens fans, they decided to name a burger in the team's honor.

"We get a lot of Purple Friday happening. Everyone comes in, wears the Ravens gear," said Kaye.

Across the harbor at Floyd's 99 Barbershop on Boston Street, purple low lights are the new look.

In fact, Ravens' purple seems to be the new hair do throughout Baltimore.

If you aren't daring enough to dye your hair for the Ravens, Greetings & Readings in Hunt Valley has everything Ravens you could ever need.

"They kept winning, and the merchandise keeps coming in now and we're expanding again! It's fantastic!" said one employee.

From winter hats to baseball caps and everything Ray.

"We've got shirts about 'Let's Keep Dancing' and we also have 'The Greatest' shirts,'" an employee said.

Now back to the Ravens burger. If you want one, they're going fast.

"We've been selling a lot of it actually, especially since the Ravens are in the playoffs," said Kaye.

Many of the area restaurants and bars will be offering specials for Saturday's game.
