BALTIMORE (WJZ) — One of the world’s most prestigious sailing races could return to Charm City.

Next week, the Volvo Ocean Race will begin announcing its route for 2015.

WJZ’s media partner, The Baltimore Sun, reports Baltimore is one of two U.S. cities in the running for a stop on the around-the-world competition.

The city last hosted the race back in 2006 and drew tens of thousands of spectators.
