2 Arrested In 2009 Stabbing Death In Randallstown

RANDALLSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Baltimore County police have arrested two men in the September 2009 stabbing death of a man inside his Randallstown home.

Police say Eric Johnson and Leonard Briscoe fatally stabbed Rodney Lewis while they were stealing property from his home. Both Johnson and Briscoe are 20 years old and were 17 at the time of the crime. Police say Johnson had been staying with the victim and his wife.

Cpl. Cathleen Batton, a police spokeswoman, says a new detective took over the case late last year and re-interviewed the victim's relatives and associates of the suspects. Those interviews produced enough evidence to charge the suspects.

Online court records do not indicate that either man has an attorney. Each faces a first-degree murder charge and is being held without bail.
