Md. Inmate Gets 20 Years For Killing Prisoner

CUMBERLAND, Md. (AP) -- A state prison inmate is facing 20 more years after pleading guilty to murdering a fellow prisoner.

The Allegany County State's Attorney's Office said Friday that 32-year-old Robert Eubanks pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the asphyxiation death of 53-year-old Saleem Abdullah.

Abdullah died in September 2011 at the Western Correctional Institution near Cumberland. He was serving a life sentence for rape and kidnapping in Baltimore.

Eubanks was sentenced as part of a plea deal. He was serving 7 1/2 years for a 2007 rape conviction in Baltimore County.
