BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Officials are investigating a police-involved shooting.
According to officials, around 2 a.m. Sunday, a police officer on routine patrol in the 5400-block of York Road saw a crowd in front of a carry-out establishment.
The officer went to disperse the crowd and began to struggle with a suspect. During that altercation, the officer fired his service weapon. It is not known what caused the struggle.
Homicide detectives are investigating this incident, which is standard procedure for all police-involved shootings.
