BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A Baltimore private school teacher faces allegations of having sex with a student.
Adam May has the latest from police.
Right now, detectives are trying to determine if there is more than one victim.
Former physical education teacher Foye Minton, 33, faces child abuse charges. He’s accused of having a long-term sexual relationship with a female student at the Shoshana S Cardin School on Park Heights near Slade.
“She told us this relationship continued for four years and during the course in that time, he engaged in sexual activity with her at his home in Baltimore City, in the school and at several other locations in Baltimore County,” said Elise Armacost, Baltimore County Police.
The head of the small private school says they are cooperating fully with the police investigation but they have no further comment.
Minton’s alleged victim came forward last month at the age of 20.
“Our detectives do believe that there may be other victims and that they’re asking anyone to come forward if they have been a victim to please contact us at the police department,” said Armacost.
Minton is being held at the county detention center on $250,000 bond.
Under Maryland law, adults in positions of trust and authority are banned from having sex with minors, regardless of consent.
