Fans At Perry Hall's Double T Diner Say The Patriots Are Toast

PERRY HALL, Md. (WJZ)— It's beginning to look even more like playoffs throughout Maryland as buildings are lit bright purple and fans are decorating their houses. Businesses like the Double T Diner in Perry Hall are also displaying purple passion.

Jessica Kartalija spoke to fans during lunch rush.

At the Double T Diner in Perry Hall, lunch hour feels a lot like a pep rally.

"Who's winning Sunday?" a waitress asked the lunch hour crowd.

"Ravens!" they responded.

Peggy Ford gets emotional talking football over her BLT.

"I'm sorry. I don't mean to cry.  I really hope that they win for Ray," Ford said. "Yes, I'm crying. I know. It's because I want them to win so badly."

For fans like Ford, Sunday is more than just a football game.

"Oh yes, oh yes.  Much more than a football game.  It's for Baltimore. We just have to show them," Ford said.

Erick Lorick says it is destiny.

"I think this game is the road for the Super Bowl for the Ravens," Lorick said. "I think it's 2000 all over again."

A Ravens tree stands proudly in the diner lobby. Staff sport jerseys, featuring the likes of Anquan Boldin, Joe Flacco and Ray Lewis.

"It's game time, baby. It's game time. For Ray Lewis, Joe Flacco and the whole Ravens team, we just want them to bring us the trophy. That's all we want," said Spiros Korologos, Double T Diner.

As they say at the Double T, the Patriots are toast.

"Girls, who's going to win?" a waitress asked the crowd.

"The Ravens!" they responded.

"That's right!" she said.
